Resumen
This study explores the use of crowdsourcing data, specifically those provided by Waze for Cities, to obtain vehicular traffic data for the city of Cuenca to be used in mobility planning. A detailed methodology is presented that includes data extraction and preprocessing, as well as visualization through a dashboard and generation of a heat map. The usefulness of Waze as an agile and low-cost alternative to understand vehicular behavior in cities is highlighted. © 2024 IEEE.
