Resumen
The article deals with a musicological study of the Armenian composer Avet Terterian (1929-1994) that allows us to understand his aesthetic thought reflected in the Armenian tradition, the spirituality of his compositions and his resistance to the dictates of the aesthetic norms given by the Soviet party. His ideas are interpreted in his musical composition through a musicological approach to one of his most representative works such as the Third Symphony, composition in which he rescued especially his Armenian culture
