Resumen

The importance of writing a final report, call scientific paper, thesis, job qualifications, etc., speaks about he quality of it and the professional and academic level of the user. This has a higher impact and significance when we talk about Physical Culture students at the University of Cuenca, who apparently have difficults making their preliminar schemes and then the certification. The reasons are multiple and they could be: lack of training in academic writing and reading, fear that the investigation results in poor quality, lack of motivation and incentive towards writing, lack of interest and involvement, lack of commitment and comfort, etc., this situation affects both students and teachers. They used to get the standard deviation for cycles, sex and total. Therefore, the purpose of this research work is to diagnose the reality of academic writing for students in Physical Culture career at the University of Cuenca, trying to establish parameters what contribute to the improvement of this deficiency.
