Resumen

The purpose of the study is to determine the existence, management and use of information technologies (ICT) within the teaching - learning process for Mathematics in Cuenca's institutions of Unified General Baccalaureate, through the perception of students. For this purpose, a study was developed with a quantitative approach that reached the descriptive level. The type of research was prospective, cross-sectional and observational. We worked with a sample composed of 64 teachers of second and third year (59.3% men and 40.6% women) and 381 students (37.3% men and 62.7% women) of second year. The study concludes showing that the majority of teachers use ICT for teaching materials preparation, but only a small percentage do so as often as necessary. Likewise, it was found that search engines and word processors are the most used tools, and to a lesser extent, others more relevant to the learning of mathematics, such as Geogebra software.
