Resumen
The integration of social capital, governance, and tourism intelligence provides a conceptual framework to understand the challenges of contemporary tourism. Reaching the connection of these dimensions leads to the creation of an intelligent management model that prioritises sustainability through policies proposed on shared knowledge in an environment of trust and collaboration. Social capital determines the ability of a destination to organise collectively, share information, and respond to problems. Tourism intelligence allows the transformation of data into knowledge, guiding stakeholders’ participation in planning processes, policy development, and decision-making. This contributes to improving governance, understood as a framework that can lead to the sustainability of territories through approaches that integrate social capital and tourism intelligence. Therefore, the analysis presented in this chapter shows the importance of stakeholders’ participation and collaboration in the implementation of tourism intelligence, based on mutual trust, information, and transparency that help achieve common goals within a territory.
