Resumen

Current study aims to determine the reverse logistics process carried out in the tire industry in Azuay (Ecuador), for this it focuses on two main actors in the direct supply chain: customers and marketers; the research is focused on the inverse flow of the supply chain and investigates the activities and processes currently executed, for this purpose an adaptation of the SCOR methodology is made, also a descriptive analysis that indicates the destination of the used tires and the effect of knowing about reverse logistics. One of the main results indicates that sufficient statistical evidence is presented to affirm that there are differences in the total sales of the marketers who know and apply Reverse Logistics (RL), from those who do not; therefore, it is suggested to apply RL processes in small and medium tire traders.
