Resumen

At present, Physical Education teachers are looking for new strategies or ways to innovate methodologies in the teaching-learning process, as well as their implementation for motor development in the Gymnastic Practices curricular block, which seek to efficiently develop the Basic motor skills but little applied in the current Ecuadorian Physical Education curriculum. Precisely the gymnastic practices is one of the main blocks, which contains resources that can minimize different motor limitations that students may present, which promotes better motor development. This study focuses on the identification of innovative strategies for motor development in Physical Education from the sub-elementary level gymnastic practices curricular block, based on scientific articles with an emphasis on motor evolution, motor development, importance and benefits of gymnastics in stages.
