N2 - Traditional CLI-driven network management needs to be faster and prone to human error. Besides, Wide Area Network operation is complex and challenging due to the number of devices. Network programmability allows for automating network configurations and troubleshooting, reducing response time and increasing business agility. This work presents the EPOLARIS tool intended to facilitate and improve WAN network management. It provides real-time network monitoring and automation, proactive tasks and automated alerts and notifications. The EPOLARIS tool has been evaluated in simulated and real-world scenarios, demonstrating enhanced network management and easy usage. The tool allows for smaller equipment configuration time and faster detection of topology errors. Besides, an expanded view of network device interconnections enhances problem-solving robustness. Besides, notifications combined with pre-event network analysis facilitate incident response time.
