Resumen

This article aims to communicate the results of participatory research about community work as the foundation of good living in an indigenous commune of the Ecuadorian coast. “Agua Blanca” is a commune in the province of Manta in the Ecuadorian coastal region which, through a process of reindigenization, has recovered its ancestral values as a basis to implement an alternative to the predominance of capitalist development. The proposal herein is collectively built with a high level of creativity and is based on community work, reciprocity, solidarity, care for nature, and the development of spirituality, all of this leading to the concept of Good Living.
