N2 - This chapter analyzes gender gaps in voter turnout, voting for center-right parties, and voting for female presidential candidates in Ecuador from 2004 to 2023. It employs data from the Latin American Public Opinion (LAPOP) to perform logistic regressions and Firth regression analyses that assess how demographic factors, particularly gender and key political values and beliefs, influence electoral behaviors. Its results confirm the existence of a gender gap in voter turnout and voting for female candidates. Additionally, the findings point to the significance of sociodemographic factors such as age, education, socioeconomic status, ideological orientations, and context in the configuration of women’s voter behavior.
