Resumen

Temporomandibular Disorders affect the temporomandibular joint, the neuromuscular system, and adjacent anatomical structures among the most frequent are disc displacements and osteoarthritis, it’s etiology is currently not defined; however, it is related to some risk factors such as age, sex, trauma, anatomical and biomechanical alterations of the Temporomandibular Joint. Imaging studies such as panoramic radiography, cone beam computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging are used to make the proper diagnosis of temporomandibular disorders.
