Resumen

An optimal alternative to propose a new type of housing in the city of Cuenca (Ecuador), is the use of maritime containers that are in a state of nullity. In addition, it seeks to analyze the responsiveness of these types of volumes when using them as the base structure for an interior design project. In the same way, this research focuses on the use of design methodologies and concepts that generate different views to transform a metal box into a new functional habitable space. The study collects the user's empathy map in order to detail the time and activities that they develop and interact with each interior space, in addition to examining the different formal, functional and constructive applications to generate an interior design proposal. In this way, the designer faces feedback after each phase in which he reflects on how interior design creates unique, comfortable, welcoming environments that in turn promote the emotional development of each user.
