Resumen
Introduction: Temporomandibular Disorders affect the temporomandibular joint, the neuromuscular sys-tem, and adjacent anatomical structures among the most frequent are disc displacements and osteoar-thritis, it’s etiology is currently not defined; however, it is related to some risk factors such as age, sex, trauma, anatomical and biomechanical alterations of the Temporomandibular Joint. Imaging studies such as panoramic radiography, cone beam computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging are used to make the proper diagnosis of temporomandibular disorders. Objective: of this article is to present a clinical case of disc displacement and osteoarthritis in a prepubertal female patient, describing signs and symptoms. In addition, clinical and imaging analysis that allowed a definitive diagnosis to be reached. Conclusions: temporomandibular disorders are common pathologies in our population, they usually go unnoticed in clinical evaluations because of subclinical sign and symptoms in the early stages..
