Resumen
In Ecuadorian poetry there are particular marks of voluntary or forced
migratory journeys, and individual forms of naming and characterizing this motive
are determined from the voices of their creators. Código de extranjería by César
Molina is a collection of poems which delimits special coordinates where the
motive of the migratory journey defines a painful spectacle of this process and
refers it in poetic stories full of affection, criticism, and solidarity. Our reading will
seek to characterize the poems of the book as a possible mapping of the contemporary book of travel. It is important to show how the Ecuadorian poet traces his itinerary and how he defines the discursive strategies within the framework of the morphology of the books of travel
