Resumen

This work is a link between Art and Psychology within Cognitive Science. If it is not understood how the subject processes information with respect to Art, it is impossible to appreciate in a holistic way all the dimensions of the human being; including its artistic-expressive facet. The expression of Art is an energetic investment in which the creator of a work of Art shapes his vision of the world. This ability is developed over time (not possessed since our evolutionary beginnings) and is the product of cognitive processes such as memory, representation, problem solving and decision making. Each person is a world and extracts the essence of his environment in an idiosyncratic way, hence each person has a preference for a type of art that goes from the most figurative to the most abstract. To understand Art is to understand an intimate part of Psychology.
