The Proposal Of The Project "Integrated Water Quality Management" Has Been Developed In The First Phase By The Programa Para El Manejo Del Agua Y Del Suelo Promas Universidad De Cuenca, And The Faculty Of Engineering Of The Universidad De Cuenca. Initially, All Faculties And Departments Of The University Were Requested To Propose Research Topics For The Vlir-Iuc Programme. The Topics Included In The Initial Proposal Were Among Others: Watershed Management, An Integrated Analysis Of The Effect Of Human Interference On The Water Quality At Catchments Scale, The Establishment Of A Detailed Monitoring System At Catchments Scale, The Capacity Improvement In Water Quality Analysis And The Modelling At Catchment Scale Of The Sediment Transport. This Work Was Executed During This First Phase Succesfull, This Document Presents The Formulation Of The Second Phase Which Will Start On April 2012.
