The Overall Project Objective Is That After 4 Years Of Cooperation Between The Munich University Of Applied Sciences And The University Of Cuenca, Two Key Central Offices Are Fully Operational And Acquired The Ability Of Working According To International Standards. This Will Not Only Result In A Tremendous Improvement Of The Satisfaction Of Stakeholders And Clientele, But Also In An Administrative Operation And Management Model That Is Applicable To Other Administrative Units Of The University Of Cuenca. The Project Involves The Introduction Of Policies, Regulations, Procedures And Technology Based Innovations As Basis For The Quality Improvement Of Services And The Accountability Of Diuc And Dpuc. Through A Better Operation, Whereby Maximum Use Is Made Of Modern Technologies For The Distribution Of Research Related Information To The Academic Community, The Submission Of Research Proposals, The Communication With Internal And External Reviewers, The Follow-Up Of The Implementation Of Projects And The Allocation Of Financial Resources, Among Other Activities, Diuc Will Be Able, Notwithstanding Its Understaffing To Play The Role The Institution Is Expecting From This Unit, I.E. Coordinating Research Efforts, Streamlining Research In A Limited Number Of Major Research Lines, Connecting Research To Graduate Study Programs, Giving Shape To The Institution'S Research Profile, Facilitating The Provision Of Funding And The Identification Of Funding Opportunities. Doing So Shall Enhance The Connectivity Between Diuc And Similar Offices At Other South-American, European And American Universities, Opening New Opportunities For Cooperation And The Capturing Of New Funding. It Is Clear That To Achieve Its Objectives Innovations Such As: Research Management, Centralization In Combination With Decentralized Access To Information, The Decentralized Submission Of Information/Proposals/Reports, Professorial Appointment Management, Networking Management, And The Introduction Of Technology, Among Other Innovations, Urgently Need To Be Introduced. Mainly By Lack Of Expertise And Experience, The University Of Cuenca Seeks The Assistance Of The Munich University Of Applied Sciences And Funding Of Dies (Daad) To Implement In Diuc The Structural Changes And Innovations That Will Result In The Delivery Of Better Services And Accountability.
