Abstract
We read the article by Singh et al.1 with great interest. In it, the authors proposed that “seizures be classified according to the evolutionary stage of parenchymal cysticercosis, ” and that the term “acute symptomatic seizures” (ASyS) may cause confusion regarding the appropriate duration of antiseizure treatment.1 However, the authors failed to describe how treatment would differ according to the “evolutionary state”1 of the parasite or for patients with multiple parasites in different phases.
