Abstract

Introduction: The present study examined the relationship between achievement goals, perception of success, fun and persistence-effort in Physical Education at the school level. Objectives: was to analyze the goals of achievement, perception of success, fun and persistence-effort in the curricular block of Physical Education gymnastic practices in middle school students of the E.G.B Gabriel Arsenio Ullauri school. Methodology: this research is descriptive, cross-sectional, three questionnaires were used as the main instrument: 1. perception of success, 2. fun, 3. persistence-effort. 192 students participated in the study, 105 men and 87 women with an M age of 10.5 from the middle sublevel of the Gabriel Arsenio Ullauri school in the Cuenca canton during the 2022-2023 school period. Results: show important means regarding the perception of success 4.59; fun 4.61; persistence-effort 4.67 with emphasis on the male gender with an M slightly higher than the female gender, although without statistically significant differences in the categories studied with a p-value > 0.05, respectively. Conclusions: that all genders perceive the perception of success, fun and persistence-effort positively.
