Abstract
This article presents a study on the identification and individualization of the copyists
who work in the Musical Archive of the Main Cathedral of Cuenca, in the 19th century.
The analysis is based on the manuscripts recovered and cataloged in 2016 and
2018 as part of a research project that addressed the topic of reconstructing the corresponding
archives. The work starts with a brief historical contextualization, evidencing
the organization of diverse documents of the Archdioceses of Cuenca, specifically
the music catalog. The hypotheses raised have led to an individualization of
the manuscripts through a comparison among them. Thus, it is possible to obtain
different viewpoints of the object of study.
