Abstract
With the objective of establishing the most incidental foods in the occurrence of foodborne diseases in the province of Camagüey a study was done from the information registered at "Mártires de Pino Tres" Provincial Centre of Hygiene, Epidemiology and Microbiology related with alimentary outbreaks due to bacteria from January 2 000 to July 2008. Out of 187 notified outbreaks, 173 were positive to bacterial isolations. Meat products were the prevalent foods, followed by desserts and pastries, lactic, and others. Fisheries and eggs derivatives had a minor influence in the outbreaks occurrence.
