LAS INNOVACIONES TECNOLÓGICAS COMO RESPUESTA A LAS DEBILIDADES Y APROVECHAMIENTO DE POTENCIALIDADES EN EL SISTEMA CONSTRUCTIVO TRADICIONAL DEL ADOBE

The lack of detailed official technical information, the shortage in the workforce, the ignorance of the potential of the use of traditional materials to offer a quality architecture in our environment have put at risk of disappearing these ancestral knowledge that would allow us to guarantee the Conservation of Ground structures In the Historic Center of the City of Cuenca, adobe is one of the most used construction systems in buildings considered of heritage value, therefore knowing the forms of traditional production, interregional variants, functions and properties of its components, we they will allow to understand their behavior, potentialities and weaknesses from the technical, economic, social and environmental point of view. In the same way it is important to identify the innovative and improvement constructive experiences to analyze and compare the characteristics between traditional and improved systems. In this way, it will also be analyzed to what extent these innovations enhance or not the advantages of the ancestral construction system, and to what extent they solve their disadvantages.
