Abstract
The article makes an approximation to the instrumental organic constitutive of the cathedral chapel of Cuenca, Ecuador in the 19th century; based on unpublished sources from the archives of the Archdiocesan Curia. From the classification of Curt Sachs and Erich Moritz von Horbonste, the study deals with a description of the instruments used and their function within the institutional corpus, as well as trying to reconstruct the timbral event highlighting the originality of the cathedral chapel
