Exploring sustainability patterns among urban fabric typologies: a case study of Cuenca, Ecuador

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionpeer-review

Abstract

Problem statement - Cities are key entities in achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); intermediate cities, particularly, as per the Habitat III "New Urban Agenda". Yet, an adequate measurement of urban sustainability remains a challenge. Cities have been commonly analyzed as homogenous entities, but a pressing need exists for an approach that accounts for the inherent
heterogeneity of urban fabric typologies within urban systems.
