N2 - This article aims to communicate the results of participatory research about community work as the foundation of good living in an indigenous commune of the Ecuadorian coast. “Agua Blanca” is a commune in the province of Manta in the Ecuadorian coastal region which, through a process of reindigenization, has recovered its ancestral values as a basis to implement an alternative to the predominance of capitalist development. The proposal herein is collectively built with a high level of creativity and is based on community work, reciprocity, solidarity, care for nature, and the development of spirituality, all of this leading to the concept of Good Living.
