Abstract

Recently, a publication of the General Entrepreneurship Monitor for Latin America and the Caribbean (2016), indicated the economic stagnation suffered in the region, as well as the high entrepreneurial indicators that some countries hade, a particular situation. Although it is true, there is a consensus regarding the entrepreneurial activity and its positive impact for the improvement of some economic factors of the countries, the analysis of the erratic behavior that presents the relationship between entrepreneurship and economic growth in countries with different characteristics. The so-called "developing countries" being the common denominator of the Latin American nations. Thus, this research includes the main contributions made by recognized writers and experts on the subject, and also establishes parameters to generate information at the empirical level that sustain the results and conclusions that will be reached.
