Abstract

The work proposes a model for organizational culture with variables of emotional salary; it starts from the literature review, research questions are raised that lead to a set of hypotheses that consider the influence of development opportunities, life balance, work culture, psychological benefits, work environment on organizational culture. The relationships of the hypotheses make up a structural equation model, which is subject to testing with a sample size of 210 employees from the administrative area of the “Universidad Católica de Cuenca” (UCACUE) in Ecuador. The results show the influence on the organizational culture of psychological well-being and work culture with a high degree of significance, life balance with a medium degree and with a low level the work environment and development opportunity. The instrument applied is statistically valid and reliable and the hypotheses are supported, therefore UCACUE shows interest in the well-being and satisfaction of its personnel, for which it requires improving its motivational strategies through the implementation of the emotional salary.
