The relationships of the hypotheses make up a structural equation model, which is subject to testing with a sample size of 210 employees from the administrative area of the “Universidad Católica de Cuenca” (UCACUE) in Ecuador. The instrument applied is statistically valid and reliable and the hypotheses are supported, therefore UCACUE shows interest in the well-being and satisfaction of its personnel, for which it requires improving its motivational strategies through the implementation of the emotional salary.
