Breves consideraciones sobre la Metodología de la Investigación para investigadores principiantes

Traditionally, research, as a scientific endeavor, has been considered as an exclusive activity for elite academic groups; nevertheless, the current demands of society and Academia have brought about a greater need for developing scientific studies and reporting on them in academic publications. Faced with thisreality, students and professionals of all fields of knowledge, including, of course, Education, have turned toward the development of scientific research processes. For this reason, this article offers basic notions regarding Research Methodology, in an attempt to motivate those individuals who are taking their first steps in this field. The paragraphs to follow provide a brief introduction to the topic, and succinct analysis of the diverse research methods and the components of these processes, namely: participants; data gathering, analysis, exploration, and representation; as well as, interpretation and validation of results.
