Description

Subjective well -being is considered as a dimension of the quality of life that reflects optimal functioning, since it is related to certain personal strengths, highlighting among them self -effectiveness. Therefore, it is a line of research that has generated a great scientific interest in being relevant for the planning of health prevention and promotion programs in adults with or without disabilities. Given the importance of the issue and the absence of empirical data in our country, the present research that corresponds to a descriptive design and a transverse study whose objective is to determine the psychosocial factors related to the subjective well -being of adults with or without disabilities, which reside in the Cuenca canton and whose ages are understood from 18 years and older. The empirical data obtained in this research will contribute valid criteria for public policy decision making that are oriented to improve the quality of life of the population that has or not disability.
