This project seeks to identify the teaching strategies used by the English fiscal professors of the Cuenca schools for a second moment to provide an alternative methodological guide framed in a communicative approach. The methodology includes quasi -experimental qualitative research that will use surveys, observations and interviews. The strategies used by teachers will be determined through the survey, observation and interview. Information obtained to determine the scope of traditional teaching strategies will be analyzed. In a final stage a methodological guide will be developed. In this last phase there will be the contingent of focal groups of fiscal teachers. This methodological guide will be applied by volunteer teachers to finally establish adjustments and carry out a final elaboration. It is expected to have teachers capable of using teaching strategies framed in a communicative approach to the language, as well as a methodological guide that supports teaching practice.
