Project Details
Description
This research focuses on the production of theory and works of plastic, musical and scenic art, which seek strategies to overcome the postmodern canon that has banalized them to the point of reducing them - in many cases - to mere gestures, performances, events or artificial exercises whose worst consequence has been the departure of the public of current art and even the divorce of beauty. The research team assumes that its collective search is part of the territories of Carlos Rojas's theory as much as in the critical apprehension of the best ancestral and western traditions, hopefully to overcome them, through innovative processes, that fracture the postmodern canon that, still, is hegemonic in artistic and theoretical production. The project is also proposed to build spaces for dialogue and interdisciplinary exchange between the knowledge, languages and disciplines of each researchers, who come from the fields of music, plastic art, performing arts and art theories, in order to enrich their undergraduate and postgraduate chairs, their artistic and theoretical production, looking for real connections between the different artistic languages. The artistic production of researchers/artists in various languages -comic, drawing, sculpture; Contemporary music; Theater and dance works- and that of art theorists will be exhibited and placed on the consideration of various audiences, in relevant cultural spaces, published in specialized magazines and in the form of a book, in order to contribute to propitiate changes in the current regime of aesthetic sensitivity.
