Description
We know that the history of inventions is like that of a river that sometimes runs along the surface and other times through deep layers. All the inventions with which traditions have been built, some we see them, others pass hidden, such as waiting to return to the surface. In architecture, urbanism and all its disciplines involved, industrialization was a change in habits: ways of living, growth of cities, etc. and all its repercussions; And the contribution of new media: materials, techniques, construction processes, etc. and all its repercussions. With the changes of human habits and the techniques available, during the industrialization processes, new inventions were generated that displaced and annulled the inventions of tradition (which were useful for hundreds and thousands of years) to the point that they have been forgotten and dead. But now we are immersed in a new process, that of energy management and natural resources. With changes in habits and techniques available today, some of these industrial inventions are inappropriate, since they consume energy and natural resources that, at the time they were invented, did not involve any problem, but now are scarce goods. This project is the beginning of a methodological experimental line that will last in successive years. The subsequent phases must have financial support from the actors that we are integrating into this first phase. The objective of this entire research is to create a methodology that enables the replacement of non -sustainable industrial systems and products used in urban planning and social housing in Ecuador for new products and innovative systems that recover the values of traditional inventions.
