Description

Spirituality is considered by modern mental health as a adjuvant in the processes of physical and psychological illness, the spirituality construct in this context is understood as a factor that is part of the human personality. The objective of this research project is proposed to corroborate the relationship of the belief system and spiritual coping, the perception of the disease with the quality of life of people who have chronic noncommunicable diseases, including: cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease. The sample will consist of 736 people of both sexes, of legal age; 553 of these people have chronic non -transmissible diseases (ENT), and 183 people belonging to the control group without ENT. The tools that will be used to obtain the data are: SBI-15R belief system inventory; SCS spiritual coping strategies scale; Brief questionnaire of perception of the B-IPQ disease and Quality of Life MQOL questionnaire. The time that the investigation lasts will be two years, it will be divided into four stages: the first corresponding to the linguistic validation of the psychometric instruments to the Cuenca field (8 months), the second, relative to the application of the instruments to the population studied and statistical validation of the same (6 months), in the third stage it will be carried out, the processing and analysis of the information collected, the state of the art will also be built (5 Months), and in the fourth stage the final report will be written (5 months). It is expected to have two scientific articles published in indexed magazines, the first would be ready in the middle of the process (1st year), while the second at the end of the research (2nd year).
