Description
Recipes (re -imaging in nvironels for c onnection and e ngagement: t esting a c. For s gaial prescribing in Natural Spaces), is a research project funded by the European Commission. It seeks to prove innovative social prescription actions based on nature (n Atural B ased s gaial P recribing) to reduce loneliness, creating the social and technological infrastructure necessary to promote social and community cohesion. Recipes will develop random controlled tests (ECA) in six urban areas (Barcelona, Cuenca, Helsinki, Marseille, Melbourne and Prague) in Europe, Latin America and Australia. NBSP will build a bridge to create solid social networks and connections between people, places and institutions and green and blue infrastructure (lakes, rivers, coastal habitats) with the objective in addition to mitigating the effects of pollution, extreme climate and other environmental stress factors such as community violence. Thus, recipes from Inter and transdisciplinarity, seeks to demonstrate the positive impact on the integral health of people and communities. The local team, University of Cuenca (UC), from its expertise, introduces the cultural dimension in this ambitious proposal and is also responsible for leading the development of work package 3 (WP3) that consists of the co-design of an NBSP menu adapted to each context, with a participatory methodological protocol in each of the six urban areas under study. In addition, UC will be responsible for co-creating, implementing and evaluating the NBSP in the Historical Area World Heritage of Cuenca, capitalizing previous research-action experiences and networks of local actors (institutions, citizens, academia).
