Description
The present research is located in the field of teacher training, aims to understand social representations regarding the teaching of the first year students of education careers at the University of Cuenca. It is considered that the only knowledge of the approval of a score for the entrance exam to the education careers does not allow starting the subject and their ideas, despite the fact that the educational model of the University of Cuenca (2015) emphasizes the considering the learning and previous experiences of the students. Therefore, if it is intended to be consistent with the university educational model, it is necessary to make visible and understand what students "bring". To this end, the following specific objectives are set: 1. Characterize the contents of the social representations on the teaching that the first year students of the education careers have and 2. Comparatively annulal the social representations of the teaching that the first year students have of the different education careers. To achieve the objectives set, a transverse exploratory investigation has been designed that uses a quanti-qualitative methodology and that, taking social representations as theoretical support, intends as final results the writing of an academic article and the socialization of research to the teachers of the education careers of the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Sciences of Education, with a view to reflecting the process of teacher training.
