Project for the expansion of the digital news @ucuenca on the Cedia Network

The @ucuenca Digital news project was born in the IDI Center as one of the first projects generated with the support of the financing of the Movistar Income Tax donation in 2008. Then it was possible to generate the first prototype that was also registered in the Ecuadorian Institute of Intellectual Property. New features were then introduced, including the possibility of VideosTreaming under the project funded by CEDIA and in which universities work groups participated: Central, Bolívar, Unach, Indoamerica always led from the IDE Center of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Cuenca. The project that is currently implemented at the University of Cuenca, Digital News @ucuenca is version 4.0. In this project, IDI Center, Communications Unit and Journalism School of the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Cuenca collaborate. The importance of these actors is visible in the generation of content since the sustainability of the project not only depends on a financial vertex but also on the quantity and quality of content that may arise. The current platform manages to integrate the news section from the website of the institution into the digital news, which will avoid resulting in the generation of information.
