Functionalities expansion prototype for classic industrial automation devices using low -cost embedded platforms

This document contains the research and development proposal of an automation functionalities expansion device (defa) for industrial control devices using low -cost embedded platforms. Defa provides classic automation and control devices with communications, pre-processing and processing functionalities, storage and control-based control. The development of the project is based on the interdisciplinary work of the research groups in Electronics and Control (GIEC) and the Digital Signal and Communications Processing (GIDSPC) of the University of Cuenca. The detail of the methodology to be developed, budget and work plan is presented.
