Project Details

Description

In studies carried out by Ponce Enrique, it was counted that more than 48% of the population has health problems, since it depends on rivers for their vital needs and these are contaminated with heavy metals. It is necessary to have low cost technologies for the removal of these metals. It was raised as the objective of this investigation. Establish the levels of effectiveness of biosorption and separation technology with membranes to remove heavy metals and emerging pollutants, compare both technologies from the technical, economic and environmental point of view. It will work in a first phase with heavy metals with both technologies, and in a second phase with emerging pollutants.
