Project: Research

Project Details

Description

The serious socio-environmental crisis facing the planet and humanity, requires the promotion of pro-sustainable behaviors of families. In response to this urgent demand, it is necessary to rescue the role of the family as a first -order educational agent for a necessary social change. Predictably the development of children will be influenced by the role of fathers and mothers, through parental practices used by parents in raising with the only objective of care, protection and education. Teachers of the Faculty of Psychology sensitive to the serious planetary and convinced crisis of the fundamental role of parents in the development and socialization of their progeny, propose to develop a program of positive parentality aimed at families with the purpose of evaluating the effect of a training program in the improvement of parentality and in the practices of responsible consumption in families and children who attend the educational institutions of the city of Cuenca. For the fulfillment of this objective, an experimental design is assumed, an initial and final evaluation will be carried out. In the initial and final phase the positive parentality scale E2P V.2 and a survey of habits and values on the environment will be applied. The interventive process assumes an experiential - participatory methodology that will allow developing individual and group reflection processes of parental competences. This intervention project will favor a positive parentality that promotes pro-stenability behaviors in Cuenca families.
