Description

Objective: Determine the prevalence of osteoarthrosis (OA) of hands and risk factors associated in people over 50 years in Cuenca. Material and Methods: It is a cross -sectional study that establishes the prevalence of OA of hands and risk factors in the population of Cuenca. The sample in the population is obtained in a randomized way, identifying the cases of OA and risk factors such as: age, sex, articular trauma, body mass index (BMI), education, labor history, menarchy and menopause. For data lifting we use a validated and standardized questionnaire. The diagnosis of OA is confirmed with an X AP plate of both hands, which is held at the Vicente Corral Moscoso hospital.
