OBJECTIVE: Determine the prevalence of sensitization and food allergy, as well as the most common allergens among adolescents from 12 to 15 years of age in the urban area of the city of Basin Background: the allergy feed will be a health problem that mainly affects children, however, adolescents and young adults have a greater risk of developing food fatal induced fatal food. Research in Latin American countries and other developing countries is scarce. Research design: A transverse descriptive study will be carried out. Subjects and study area: Adolescents from 12 to 15 years of age attending schools in the urban area of the city of Cuenca, which are part of the activital project. At the same time, the prick test will be applied (an immediate reading test that identifies immunoglobulin and specific), and the prick by prick test (raw food will be placed on the skin), as a second method to estimate prevalence. Conclusions: When the study has ended, there will be a list of the allergens with the greatest consumption in this population group, the prevalence of food joy will also be known, and the differences in estimating these prevalence according to the application of a questionnaire and the application of cutaneous tests. Finally, factors associated with food allergy may be reported, and propose new research proposals.
