Project Details

Description

The pandemic caused by Covid-19 disease has forced the population from different parts of the world to remain in their homes during the most part of the year 2020. About 30% of the world to worldwide has been forced to confine themselves in their homes in order to avoid propagation and accelerated contagion of this disease. In Latin America and the Caribbean, this confinement resulted in a considerable decrease in electric demand in sectors such as Industria and Commerce, lEGING in some countries to values close to 32%. However, the activities that are addressed, educational and recreation have had to move to develop from the "comfort" of our residences. This has generated different adverse effects, including the increase in electricity consumption in homes caused by greater use of electrical and electronic devices and devices present at the domestic level, as well as a change in the usual demand profile. This problem can be addressed from the point of view of generation and socialization of knowledge and energy culture. This project aims to evaluate energy savings and emission reduction in basin households through the development of a platform in the calculation of electrical consumption and dentification of areas of opportunity for their reduction, in addition to providing the necessary knowledge to the inhabitants of households that it is possible to rationalize the use of electrical energy.
