Project: Research

Project Details

Description

The transition to the sustainability and development of an education without exclusions is underway in most countries of the world. Universities, although diverse in their priorities and strategies must meet the demands of inclusive education and the objectives of sustainable development. The present research aims to identify the perception of teachers and students about cultures, policies and inclusive practices in the university context, for this we will work with a representative sample of the teachers and students of the university and differences between perception according to age, years of experience, gender, level of instruction and areas of training of teachers, as well as the perception of students according to their training area. The instrument to be applied will be the Index for inclusion questionnaire adapted to the scope of higher education. The tool would allow evaluating the perception of teachers and students referring to cultures, policies and inclusive practices in higher education and implementing inclusive development measures for each of these three dimensions. The results and conclusions obtained will allow to suggest training lines to develop competencies in inclusive education and sustainability, aimed at guiding and supporting the university teacher to address diversity in the classroom, a fundamental challenge of the 21st century.
