Description
Ride-Sharing is the English speech term to define transport alternatives that allow sharing a private vehicle and the expenses associated with daily transfer between people who move to a common destination ((H.-J. HUANG, 2000); (MORENCY, 2007)). Widely operated in European countries, these systems have demonstrated their effectiveness in increasing vehicular occupation to access communities or organizations where to manage parking spaces is complex and expensive. Several benefits are generated for organizations, staff and community, among the main ones are: the reduction in parking demand, increased space available for recreational activities, reduction in mobility expenses, decreased number of private vehicles circulating what leads to less congestion and its negative effects. The institutional shared travel program I take you! From the University of Cuenca, it is located in its pre -operation phase which included the socialization of the project on the central campus of the University of Cuenca, resulting in the adhesion of one hundred members of the university community to participate sharing their daily trip. The service operation phase requires a method that allows monitoring and evaluation to determine the effectiveness of the actions undertaken, and from this the application of corrective members that improve the service, attract more followers, increase the level of permanence of the users and evidence the progressive reduction of motorized trips.
