In the province of Azuay of Ecuador, toquilla straw hats occur, so called "Panama Hat" that are sold worldwide, becoming a source of livelihood of many families in the rural area of the province. One of the big problems facing artisans is the dye process, since it is not standardized intuitively, in addition residual waters of difficult treatment that has a negative impact are produced.
