Optimization models for integrated planning of electrical energy distribution systems.

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

This research project intends to develop two models of mathematical optimization, one static and one dynamic for the solution of the integrated optimal planning problem of the expansion of the electric power distribution systems considering the installation of new feeders and/or the repowering of existing feeders, installation of new substations and/or the repowering of existing substations, and finally the installation of traffic and regulatory banks, modifying the Network topology if necessary. In addition, the taps of the voltage regulators will be modeled as discrete variables, which will be included in the equations of the power flow. The objective of the problem will be to minimize investment costs in equipment or devices to be installed.
