Description

The educational reforms implemented by the Ecuadorian government since 2008, have generated profound changes in basic, middle and higher education. Each of the processes have been implemented by public and private institutions in the search for equity and equal opportunities. However, recent studies have evidenced that the results will not be favorable for students the moment they undergo a higher educational regime that apparently maintains an educational gap in academic curricula and that demands a better training at the high school level. This project will analyze the academic record records of 3 school years of high school students of the La Asunción Educational Unit in the Mathematics Area, to identify those bloc contents and units that have generated a decrease in students' yield Methodology for the analysis of school trajectories, a review and modification of the educational curriculum in the area of mathematics and a preventive intervention with high school students established through control and experimental groups.
