Project Details

Description

In 2011, the Eecuadro Ministry of Ecuadro applied an educational reform that modified the curricular structure and the management model of high school studies. This change generated positions found, some in favor and others against. After seven years since its implementation and with six promotions of high school graduates who have graduated from the Sierra Regime Baccalaureate establishments and five promotions in the Coast Regime, there is no investigative study that account for the impact levels produced from the elimination of high school for specialties. In this context and when a new reform for high school studies has been announced, a serious study is convenient to account for the impact of the Unified General Baccalaureate model (BGU) in the levels of performance achieved in the different university careers. Methodologically, it will develop qualitative and quantitative approaches, in samples raised in two universities a public and a particular of the cities of Cuenca and Guayaquil, respectively. The project will have an extension of 12 months.
