Description
The quality of the residential building and above all the performance it has, in a series of attributes associated with sustainability, influences the quality of life of people; For this reason, this research proposal is born from the need to observe and analyze, a series of specific housing performances and its parts, which allow qualifying the quality of the project and certifying the future performance of the house, based on the priorities that the town has where it will be applied. The investigation will develop a method of sustaining assessment of the appropriate housing for the city of Cuenca - Ecuador, which evaluates the benefits that housing will provide within the environmental, social and economic dimensions. The certification method is an alternative to support the application of more sustainable practices in the construction sector in the city and with bases for a country scope. It is also a source of knowledge and awareness for construction actors, including customers, building users, promoters and authorities in the area. For which clear mechanisms that integrate sustainability in the design, construction and management of buildings will be established. The contribution of this research is based on the importance of regionalization of a method through the development of environmental, social, economic and cultural indicators for the concept of sustainable building, which is generally a concept that is usually related only to environmental characteristics. In this research, the perspectives of the evaluation of sustainability (in its entirety) of a home are analyzed, from the art of art in the area, of the viability study on the analysis of the performance and the development of an evaluation of the useful life cycle of the buildings. For which several tools will be used, and based on cases of cases in which the sustainability of the house is evaluated, the evaluation criteria, indicators and appropriate standards will be selected for the city. An important element of research is the integration of human building and perception, in relation to habitability. The research carried out, have reported individually, the acceptance of the environmental conditions of the occupant, in workplaces. This research aims to expand the concept, to residential buildings simultaneously integrating the habitability attributes. The research results will deliver an evaluation scheme that may serve as a basis for future regional methods and adaptations in the field of sustainable housing evaluation, which will contribute to the debate on the generation of new methods of evaluation of sustainability in the building (SBA).
