Description
The construction of historical memory by seven museums that deal with the history of the city of Cuenca is the issue to be analyzed in the present investigation. The specific characteristics acquired by memory in the case of study are addressed from the theoretical contributions developed from the reflections especially of Pierre Nora. The research process resorts to the museographic criticism of the archaeological, historical, art, economic development of the city in order to establish the consequences for the formation of a collective imaginary about the city of Cuenca. For this purpose, it is also considered to analyze the impressions left by visitors in visits books.
